Alan Davies & His Podcast -The Arsenal Prat

Oh dear.  Alan Davies has used the upcoming anniversary of Hillsborough to let off steam and push a flagging second rate podcast.

Not content with trying to put the City’s humour into Nick Hancock’s ‘Room 101’ in 1997 the fervently anti-Liverpudlian Essex boy has landed himself in hot water by publically declaring:

"Liverpool and the 15th, that gets on my tits that shit. What are you talking about, 'We won't play on the day'. Why can't they?", he went on to remark “Do they play on the date of Heysel Stadium disaster? How many dates do they not play on?”

His anger here seems to stem from Chelsea having to play their Semi Final on Sunday 15 April when they have a Champions League Semi Final against Barcelona 48 hours later, however his anger isn’t steered to just Liverpool but also towards manager Dalglish.  Davies turned his attentions on the 61 year old by describing him as:

“This tight-mouthed, furious, frowning, leaning-forward, bitter Glaswegian”

As with any idiot who engages his mouth before his brain Davies has since crawled onto Twitter to try and perform some damage limitation, even editing the “Tuesday Club” rant to include “worst event in peacetime” with reference to Hillsborough.

Those who haven’t listened to his views on Liverpool and their refusal to play on 15 April (which also included rants towards Chelsea, Spurs and Daily Mirror Chief Football Writer Oliver Holt) can find them here (courtesy of anfieldroad.com)

Davies seems to consider the Chelsea schedule more important than the grieving of a city, its people and its club.

Be thankful as Liverpool supporters, we have the award winning @TheAnfieldWrap to listen to as a podcast.  It seems Arsenal fans are far less fortunate and have to listen to banter without barriers, devoid of actual football talk.
